American Globe Theatre's 2009/2010 Season

We enter our third decade as Times Square's longest-running classical theatre, with a lecture & staged reading series, entitled "What Makes Shakespeare Great". It culminates with our mainstage production of "Titus Andronicus" in the Winter. Operating simultaneously is our Shakespeare for Schools program which consists of residencies and a tour of "Hamlet". We close our 21st season with the widely popular 15 Minute Play Festival.

TITUS ANDRONICUS (full production) by William Shakespeare

Directed by Artistic Director, John Basil

We celebrate our 21st season as the longest-running classical theatre in Midtown with TITUS. This rarely seen classic is all about war and revenge. And it all begins when victorious general, Titus Andronicus returns to Rome with hostages: Tamora, queen of the Goths and her sons.

The ensuing maelstrom serves up tongues, hands, rape, adultery, racism and Goth-meat pie. There's irony in who survives.

Thursdays through Saturdays @ 7:30 PM, Sundays @ 3:00 PM

Tickets: $18 at the box office
